AT approximately 7:30 this morning police highway patrol attempted to stop a Ford Falcon travelling on the New England Highway at Camberwell, due to the manner of driving.
The driver failed to stop, police initiated a pursuit and road spikes were used twice on the highway in an attempt to stop the diver.
Once in the township of Singleton the driver did a burnout and a passenger got out of the vehicle.
The driver continued driving in Singleton and stopped in John Street, where the driver fled the vehicle and police pursued on foot.
Once arrested the driver returned a positive drug test result.
The 23 year old passenger and 29 year old driver were arrested, the driver returned a positive result for a drug test and were taken to Singleton police station, where charges are expected to be laid.
