TEMPERATURES have started to cool this morning after a warm and sunny weekend, with another westerly trough expected to arrive in Singleton later today.
Showers are likely to develop tonight and persist into tomorrow, with Singleton predicted to receive between two and eight millimetres.
A brisk westerly airstream will follow from the trough on Wednesday, creating reasonably cool temperatures and windy conditions in the Upper Hunter.
The cool air change and rainfall will also create the chance for snow at the Barrington Tops on Wednesday, with snow forecast to fall anywhere above 1100 metres, depending on the amount of rainfall.
The second half of the week is expected to be dry and stable, with a slight increase in day time temperatures and cool overnight temperatures on the weekend.
The Glennies Creek Dam level has dropped 0.1 percent and is now at 58.4 percent capacity.
